A qualified cabinet maker and shipwright, Morgan owned and operated companies including a building business, joinery and sawmill, before founding Macleay River Hardwoods in 2001 with Ken Berkeley. Morgan has more than 35 years’ experience in the timber industry and today manages overall operations and ensures MRH maintains its reputation as a first-class supplier of timber.
Morgan previously ran a yacht charter company in the Whitsundays and still enjoys offshore yacht racing, as well as wake boarding, building furniture and family time with his wife Simone and their six children Emma, Rebekah, Sam, Jordan, Travis and Heidi.
Vlado started in the Timber Industry in 1986 in the Wholesale of Imported timbers including exotic species from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Vlado started his own business in 1995 kiln drying softwoods and hardwoods from the Solomon Islands as well as Australian Hardwood species, he has been involved with Australian hardwoods ever since. Vlado started with Macleay River Hardwoods in 2010 as our Sales Representative, he enjoys flying the flag and marketing our products.
On weekends Vlado and his wife Juliette enjoy boating, motorcycling and spending time in the garden.
Troy joined Macleay River Hardwoods as Head Machinist and Operations Manager of planing sheds when the company was founded in 2001. His responsibilities include overseeing the production process from start to finish.
Always on the go, Troy enjoys fishing and catching taylor, chasing after his dogs Bob and Maximus and spending time with his wife Jane.
Pud joined Macleay River Hardwoods in November 2012 and comes to us with a background in many trades. During his career he has attained various trades including: Automotive; Electrical Distribution/ Overhead & Underground; Cable & Rubber Manufacturing in Coal / Hard Rock mines. Pud is responsible for the complete maintenance, installation and repair of all plant and machinery at Macleay River Hardwoods.
Pud’s interests include fishing, boating, swimming and socialising a lot. He is married with 3 boys whom all are a handful.
Gae joined the Macleay River Hardwoods in 2004 when the company bought Timber Traders. With a background in office work and administration, Gae’s role as Office Manager is to ensure the business runs smoothly.
Gae and her husband Rick enjoy spending time with their five children and two grandchildren, and maintaining 25 head of beef cattle on their 40-acre farm west of Kempsey.
